BRASS CAMP** (7th Grade & up) July 14 - 18 $125.00
GUITAR CAMP (ages 8 & up) July 21 - 25 $125.00
All Camps are 9:00am to 11:30am
* Rock Band Instrumentation: Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano/Keyboard (Experience required on your instrument)
** Brass Camp Instrumentation: Trumpet, French Horn, E flat Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba (Experience required on your instrument)
ROCK BAND CAMP
This is where we put it all together! Students will start by listening to a live performance from their instructors. Students will receive instruction in the following areas and have a performance on the final day of camp utilizing what they have learned.
- Rehearsal Techniques/Getting the most out of your rehearsal time
- Equipment, how to make the best of what you have, proper placement/adjustments, learn what all those buttons do.
- Basic theory, how to read chord charts, arranging, song writing
- Proper vocal technique
- Introduction to the recording industry including a visit to LRM Studio Productions
DRUM CAMP
Students will receive instruction in the following areas and have a performance on the last day of camp.
- How to read basic rhythms
- Basic snare drum rudiments
- The basics on drum set and snare drum
- Proper technique
PIANO CAMP
Students will receive instruction in the following areas and have a performance on the last day of camp.
- Basic music theory
- Proper technique
- Effective practice techniques
BRASS CAMP
Students will have the opportunity to learn and perform music of different styles. Students will receive instruction in the following areas and have a performance on the last day of camp.
- Effective practice techniques
- Build endurance/increase range
- Counting and Reading Skills
- Effective Scale Memorization
GUITAR CAMP
Students will receive instruction in the following areas and have a performance on the last day of camp. Students provide their own guitar.
- Basic Music Theory
- Tuning Your Guitar
- Reading the Notes/Basic Chords
- Playing in an Ensemble
